Roulette  Roulette is perhaps one of the most famous casino games. Roulette is a table game that has a fairly simple premise. The World Roulette comes from the French language which means little wheel. The game was devised in France and it is believed that it was Blaise Pascal, who first invented a primitive version of roulette. The game has been popularised by pop culture and movies and even if someone has not played it, chances are that they have heard about it.

When the game came to the United States, it was subjected to several cheating tricks by the casinos as well as the gamblers. This led to the formation of American style roulette.

Roulette is a fairly simple game with an easy to understand the premise. The game includes a tabletop with numbers one to thirty-eight marked on it. The numbers are also color-coded into black and red. The game also requires a small ball that fits into the slot of each number. After the bets are placed, the wheel on the table is spun by the controller, and the ball is also thrown in the opposite direction. The ball eventually stops and then lands on a specific number. Based on this number, payouts are decided.

There are multiple ways of placing bets in roulette. The basic way is choosing a single number. The split lets you choose two vertically adjacent numbers. The street bet lets you choose three consecutive numbers. You can bet on the ball stopping in the first half of the table or the second, or on the color of the number the ball stops( black or red). You can also bet on the ball stopping on an even or an odd number.

Roulette is a game of luck. There is little to no skill needed to win a game of roulette. Perhaps that is what adds the thrill to the game.   • If your focus is securing your money, you should focus on outside bets. For example, the bets concerning odd or even numbers, red or black numbers, and the first or latter half of the table are more safe bets than single number bets.
